SLAM

SLAM is Pierce College's Student Literary Arts Magazine. I was to design two covers to be submitted to the magazine and used Photoshop for one design and Illustrator for the other. The last issue of SLAM had typewriters on the cover and I thought I'd step back in time and have a quill pen and ink. The Photoshop cover is from a bird's eye view of someone writing on paper.  I tried to make the figure androgynous with a hint of colonial times. The Illustrator cover has a limited palette. Both were fun to do. I also found a font called "Valley Forge" to use for the text in both designs.
